I'm actually relieved Antoine Semenyo isn't heading to Anfield, with the way things are going tactically under Slot this season, it's hard to see how he'd fit into a system that's often felt rigid and predictable, struggling against low blocks and lacking that explosive transition play we thrived on before.

Now the focus has shifted to Bradley Barcola as the consolation prize, talented guy, no doubt, but his profile screams high-risk: inconsistent finishing, struggles when not given space to run into, and a bit like those familiar Premier League flops (Werner, Sancho vibes) who arrive with hype but get exposed in tighter defences.

At this point, with the squad already stacked from big summer spends building on what Klopp left behind, the priority should be coaching and cohesion rather than splashing more cash that might just paper over deeper issues.

Meanwhile, over at Bayern, Vincent Kompany is doing wonders integrating 17-year-old Lennart Karl – the kid's already scoring in the Bundesliga and UCL, looking like a proper monster with his vision and composure.

Contrast to Ngumoha, who was hyped as the next big thing, can’t even get a minute under Slot because he knows the boy won’t listen to some ridiculous instructions to defend against West Ham inside his own 18 yard box.
