Maradona's jersey when he scored the famous "Hand Of God Goal" against England in the semi-final of the 1986 World cup in Mexico sold for $9.3 million while Lionel Messi's world cup winning shirt worn against France at the 2022 Qatar world cup sold for $7.8 million.
