Some members of the Moroccan Football Federation want the extra time of the AFCON final to be REPLAYED.

They argue that Senegal’s threat to walk off the pitch influenced the game, as stated in their official announcement.

Others believe the fairest solution would be to resume play from the penalty incident, allowing Brahim Díaz to RETAKE the penalty kick.

There is no unanimous decision yet, but there is strong anger within the federation, which is now seeking a possible solution with CAF and FIFA.

The drama continues 🥴

🗣️ Édouard Mendy: "Did Brahim miss the penalty on purpose? No, of course not. We have to be serious. Do you really think that with one minute left and a country that has been waiting 50 years for a title, we can reach an agreement?

He wanted to score, and I deserve credit for stopping him, that's all."

🚨🗣️ Morocco coach Walid Regragui on Senegal players leaving the pitch:

"The image we gave of Africa today, it’s a bit shameful. When a coach asks his players to leave the pitch..."

"What Pape Thiaw did tonight does not honor Africa. It’s not classy, but it’s not a big deal."

"He's African champion so he has the right to say whatever he wants."
