Reports have confirmed that former Liverpool and Borussia Dortmund manager, Jürgen Klopp has demanded full control over departures and signings if he were to take over the managerial job at Real Madrid in the summer.

He also specifically mentioned that Dani Carvajal and Ferland Mendy would not be in his plans.

✓No absolutism at Real Madrid cf
✓He lacks CV/Profile to ask for impossible
✓He will not have his way
✓It has never happened and he will not be the one to start it
✓Even Jose Mourinho with his rich CV does not have absolutism at Real Madrid cf

This is exactly how things should be handled. If you’re hiring a top manager like Klopp, he shouldn’t just coach, he should have the final say on transfers and departures.

Letting the manager shape the squad ensures clarity, accountability, and a team built for his style. No wonder Carvajal and Mendy wouldn’t be in his plans, he’s thinking about balance, tactics, and results, not loyalty or tradition.

Real Madrid would be smart to give him that power.
