In Arsenal's title-challenging 2022-23 season, both Thomas Partey and Gabriel Jesus played significant roles under Arteta's management. Partey formed a strong midfield partnership with Granit Xhaka, while Jesus, who joined from Manchester City, began the season as the team's main striker before a knee injury at the 2022 World Cup sidelined him.
Last summer, there were rumors that Partey might leave for Juventus or Saudi Arabia, but he decided to stay with Arsenal. As for Jesus, there was never any doubt about his future with the Gunners.
However, both players have seen their roles diminish. Partey has faced more competition from Declan Rice and a rejuvenated Jorginho, while Jesus has been replaced by Kai Havertz as the primary forward.
Despite losing his starting position, Jesus reportedly has no plans to leave the Emirates, and Arteta has dismissed any talk of the Brazilian striker being on the market.
That said, a report from GiveMeSport suggests that Arteta would be open to letting both players go if the right offer comes along, and Saudi Arabia might be interested in both. While Arsenal isn't actively trying to offload Partey and Jesus, they're not in a position to refuse a lucrative offer, and the Saudi Pro League could provide that opportunity.
Partey seems more likely to leave since his contract expires at the end of the next season, and Arsenal might be looking to extend Jorginho's contract while also seeking another defensive midfielder. Jesus, on the other hand, still has three years left on his contract and is hoping that a full pre-season will help him regain top form.
Given the rumors, it seems possible that Saudi Arabia could make a move for one or both of these players. But for now, it's all speculation, and Arsenal will likely evaluate their squad and transfer strategy as they head into the summer transfer window.
