To avoid losing Mbappe on a free transfer next year, the Ligue 1 champions are reportedly considering selling the star forward, who is valued at €200m (£170.4m). However, it is alleged that the 24-year-old is willing to spend the entire next season on the bench in order to stay at the club and let his contract run down.
Mbappe has been strongly linked with a move to Real Madrid, either this summer or in 2024, while Premier League clubs like Manchester United and Arsenal have also shown interest. If Mbappe departs PSG this summer, Le Parisien, via the Daily Mail, reports that Vlahovic is the club's main target.
According to Italian football journalist Alfredo Pedulla, PSG has initiated serious contacts to sign the 23-year-old Serbian international. However, they may face competition from their former manager Mauricio Pochettino, as Chelsea is also reportedly interested and had a £52m bid rejected by Juventus.
Last month, Juventus director Francesco Calvo stated that the Italian giants have no intention of selling Vlahovic, who still has three years remaining on his contract. However, it is believed that Vlahovic will assess his options this summer after Juventus failed to qualify for the 2023-24 Champions League, partly due to a 10-point deduction for illicit transfer activity.
Vlahovic joined Juventus from Fiorentina in January 2022 for a fee that could rise to approximately €80m. Despite facing some injury setbacks, the Serbian striker managed to score 14 goals in 42 games during the 2022-23 season.
If Juventus changes their stance on Vlahovic and decides to sell, there are rumors that West Ham United and Italy forward Gianluca Scamacca has been identified as a potential replacement.
