The Champions League’s top two sides go head-to-head on Tuesday night as defending champions Paris Saint-Germain welcome an in-form Bayern Munich to the Parc des Princes. Both teams have perfect records in the competition so far and will be eager to stamp their authority on Europe’s biggest stage.

Luis Enrique’s PSG have battled through a testing start to the season, losing several key players such as Desire Doue, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, Ousmane Dembele and Vitinha to injuries. Despite that, they have managed to stay strong and consistent, sitting top of both Ligue 1 and the Champions League standings as November begins. On Saturday, they edged past Nice 1-0 in the French league thanks to a dramatic stoppage-time winner from Goncalo Ramos, a result that showed their resilience despite dominating much of the match.

In Europe, PSG were ruthless in their last outing, crushing Bayer Leverkusen 7-2 away from home in a thrilling encounter that included missed penalties and red cards for both sides. That emphatic win left Enrique’s team on nine points from three games, leading the group ahead of Bayern only on goal difference. At home, the French champions have been nearly unbeatable, winning all but one of their matches at the Parc des Princes this season, the only exception being a 3-3 draw with Strasbourg in mid-October.

Bayern Munich, on the other hand, have been in unstoppable form since the start of the 2025-26 campaign. Under Vincent Kompany, they have won every single match across all competitions, an incredible run of 15 straight victories. Their success has been built on the brilliance of their attacking trio — Michael Olise, Harry Kane, and Luis Diaz — who have combined to fire the German giants to 54 goals already this season.

Their most recent Champions League performance saw them dismantle Club Brugge 4-0 before recording back-to-back league victories over Borussia Monchengladbach, Koln, and Bayer Leverkusen. Those wins have placed Bayern comfortably at the top of the Bundesliga table and level on points with PSG in Europe, with only one goal separating the two sides. The Bavarians’ away record this season has also been exceptional, boasting eight wins from eight trips and scoring freely while keeping things tight at the back.

INJURIES & SUSPENSIONS
For Tuesday’s match, PSG will be without Ilya Zabarnyi, who is suspended following his red card against Leverkusen. Marquinhos and Willian Pacho are expected to partner in central defence. Desire Doue remains sidelined with a thigh injury, but Bradley Barcola should join Ousmane Dembele and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia in attack.

Bayern also have injury concerns, with Alphonso Davies still recovering from a cruciate ligament injury and Hiroki Ito out until next month. Tom Bischof and Konrad Laimer are likely to fill the full-back roles, with Jonathan Tah and Dayot Upamecano forming the central pairing.

Kompany rotated his squad at the weekend, resting Harry Kane, Luis Diaz, and Michael Olise, but all three are expected to return fully refreshed. Jamal Musiala is still working his way back from a broken leg, but Bayern’s attacking depth remains formidable with Nicolas Jackson also available.

Both sides enter this clash full of confidence, but Bayern’s relentless form gives them the edge. PSG’s unbeaten home run may be tested to its limits by the German champions’ intensity and goal-scoring prowess. A thrilling contest is expected, but Bayern may just have too much firepower for the holders.
