Napoli and Manchester United have reached an agreement on a transfer fee of around €30 million (£25.4 million) for midfielder Scott McTominay. While the deal is not yet finalized, as McTominay has yet to agree to personal terms or confirm his move to the Serie A club, this marks the second consecutive year that United has shown a willingness to part ways with the academy graduate.

Earlier in August, Manchester United turned down a £20 million offer from Fulham for the Scotland international. Last season, McTominay, 27, declined a move to West Ham and went on to make 32 Premier League appearances, scoring seven goals for United. He also played a crucial role in the FA Cup final victory against Manchester City.

This season, McTominay has been used primarily as a substitute in both of United’s Premier League matches so far. Manager Erik ten Hag is looking to strengthen his squad and sees McTominay’s homegrown status as a valuable asset, offering more flexibility under the Premier League's financial regulations.

United is also eyeing Paris Saint-Germain’s Uruguayan international Manuel Ugarte as a potential addition, though negotiations with the French club have yet to yield a deal.
