As the Dallas Mavericks part ways with general manager Nico Harrison, questions are already emerging about what this change could mean for team leader Anthony Davis and his future with the franchise.

According to Marc Stein, Davis’ agent, Rich Paul, has built a strong relationship with Mavericks owner Patrick Dumont since February’s blockbuster trade that brought Davis to Dallas. The two have reportedly maintained regular communication, suggesting that the connection between the front office and Davis’ camp remains steady during this transition period.

In the meantime, the Mavericks have named Michael Finley and Matt Riccardi as co-interim general managers while the search for a permanent replacement continues.

Davis, 32, is averaging 20.8 points and 10.2 rebounds per game this season. The Mavericks currently hold a 3–8 record.
