Liverpool have reportedly turned down an approach from Bayern Munich for Luis Díaz, making it clear they have no plans to let the Colombian winger leave this summer.

Díaz joined Liverpool from Porto in January 2022 and has since made 148 appearances for the club, scoring 41 goals and providing 23 assists.

There’s been ongoing speculation about the 28-year-old’s future, with Barcelona among the clubs showing interest. Just this week, reports emerged that Bayern had contacted Liverpool to explore the possibility of a deal and discuss potential terms.

However, according to BBC Sport, Liverpool have firmly rejected Bayern’s inquiry. The club reportedly informed Bayern’s sporting director, Max Eberl, that Díaz is not for sale under any circumstances during this transfer window.

While on international duty earlier this summer, Díaz expressed his happiness at Anfield:
"I'm very happy at Liverpool, I've always said so. The transfer market is open, and we're working to figure out what's best for us. I'm waiting to see what happens. If Liverpool offer a good extension or I see out the final two years of my contract, I'll be happy either way. It all depends on them."

Barcelona are also believed to have received a similar message from Liverpool when they made contact earlier in the summer to explore a potential move.
