Rogers joined Villa from Middlesbrough in early 2024 for a fee of £15 million, and so far, the investment looks like a smart one. He impressed in his first Premier League season, scoring eight goals and providing 10 assists as Unai Emery’s side secured a Europa League spot.
The talented attacker also made his senior England debut under Lee Carsley in November 2024 and now has his sights set on making the squad for next year’s World Cup.
According to The Sun, Chelsea have made Rogers a top target for the remainder of the summer transfer window. Villa are reportedly valuing the winger at around £80 million, but it remains unclear whether Chelsea are willing to meet that price.
There’s also speculation that Villa are interested in Chelsea striker Nicolas Jackson, who previously played under Emery at Villarreal. However, any negotiations involving Rogers and Jackson are expected to be handled separately due to financial considerations.
