Celtic have clinched the Scottish Premiership title for the third consecutive year with an emphatic 5-0 victory over Kilmarnock at Rugby Park.

Brendan Rodgers's team could have secured the title without even playing on Tuesday night, but Rangers staged a dramatic comeback from two goals down to beat Dundee 5-2, postponing Celtic's celebrations.

Going into the match three points ahead of Rangers, Celtic needed only a draw against Kilmarnock to confirm their position as Scotland's best. However, they claimed their third straight title in spectacular fashion.

The scoring spree began in the fifth minute with Adam Idah's goal. Daizen Maeda made it 2-0 by the 12th minute, and James Forrest added a third before halftime.

In the second half, Matt O'Riley scored twice to remove any lingering doubts about the outcome. This victory marks Celtic's dominance, as they have won the title in 12 of the last 13 seasons, with Rangers interrupting their streak in the 2020-21 season.

Rodgers's squad will wrap up their victorious season at home against St Mirren on Saturday. They then aim to achieve a double by facing their Old Firm rivals, Rangers, in the Scottish Cup final on May 25.
