Monaco has until November 17 to respond and present its case regarding the alleged breaches. On the court, the team currently sits fifth in the EuroLeague standings with a 6–3 record and leads France’s LNB Pro A with a 6–1 start.
In its statement, the EuroLeague explained that the Management Control Commission (MCC), the independent body responsible for monitoring clubs’ financial compliance, referred the case to the Finance Panel. The alleged violations concern overdue payments, missing documentation, and a lack of cooperation, as outlined in Articles 32.a, 32.c, and 32.d of the EuroLeague Basketball Disciplinary Code.
While the investigation continues, the Finance Panel has issued a temporary measure prohibiting AS Monaco from adding new players or coaches. The sanction takes effect immediately.
