According to reports, Liverpool are set to launch another bid for Southampton midfielder Romeo Lavia after the first bid was rejected. Lavia had an outstanding season at St Mary's last season, making 26 starts and three substitute appearances in the Premier League.

Despite Southampton's relegation to the Championship, Lavia's performances have garnered significant attention, and he is now considered one of the most sought-after young talents in European football.

Several clubs have shown interest in the Belgian midfielder, partly due to the knowledge that Manchester City holds a buy-back clause for him in 2024. Among the interested parties, Liverpool stands out as the leading candidate due to their current need for central midfielders.

Liverpool has already made an official bid of around £37 million for Lavia, which was turned down by Southampton, who are looking to recoup £50 million for the player. However, The Athletic reports that Liverpool is not giving up and will make a renewed attempt to negotiate a deal with Southampton.

Although the exact fee for the potential transfer is not mentioned, Liverpool may consider including various add-ons and incentives to meet Southampton's demands. As the transfer saga unfolds, it remains to be seen where Romeo Lavia will end up, with Liverpool currently seen as the most likely destination for the talented midfielder.
