Juventus has secured the signing of Dutch midfielder Teun Koopmeiners from Atalanta for a fee of €54.7 million (£46.1 million). The 26-year-old, who played a crucial role in Atalanta’s Europa League victory over Bayer Leverkusen last May, has committed to a five-year contract with the Turin-based club.
Koopmeiners, known for his versatility across the midfield, has been a standout performer for Atalanta, scoring 33 goals over the last two seasons. However, he was unable to join the Netherlands squad for Euro 2024 after suffering a muscular injury in a warm-up match.
Juventus, who finished third in Serie A last season, 23 points behind champions Inter Milan, has been busy in the transfer market this summer. Koopmeiners joins a roster of new signings that includes Douglas Luiz from Aston Villa and Francisco Conceicao from Porto, as the club looks to strengthen its squad for the upcoming season.
