Bayer Leverkusen are reportedly among the clubs interested in signing Antony, according to Trivela. The German side recently smashed their transfer record by signing American midfielder Malik Tillman from PSV Eindhoven for €35 million (£30.3 million), and his arrival could influence any move for the Brazilian winger.

Tillman, who has signed a deal until 2030, was brought in with the approval of new head coach Erik ten Hag. The Dutch manager previously worked with Antony during their time together at Ajax, which adds a layer of intrigue to the situation. However, Tillman's signing could also complicate things for Antony in the transfer market.

Tillman came through Bayern Munich's youth system but didn’t break into the first team. Instead, he made a name for himself during loan spells at Rangers and PSV, eventually earning a permanent move to the Dutch club last season. Now 23, Tillman has joined Leverkusen as a replacement for Florian Wirtz, who was sold to Liverpool for £116 million.

Although Tillman and Antony don’t play the same position, his addition could affect the structure of Leverkusen’s attack. According to Trivela, Leverkusen had already opened talks with Antony’s representatives and had even begun direct negotiations with Manchester United. If the move went through, Antony would become the club’s most expensive signing, surpassing the fee just paid for Tillman.

However, after spending big on the American midfielder, Leverkusen might be less likely to fund another record-breaking transfer in the same window.

That said, Antony still has other options. Sources close to the player told Trivela that three additional clubs are in the mix. Real Betis, where Antony impressed on loan last season, are actively working to sign him on a permanent basis. The Brazilian scored nine goals and provided five assists in 26 appearances, helping Betis reach the UEFA Conference League final.

In addition to Betis, two unnamed "big clubs" from Italy and Germany are reportedly interested in bringing Antony in. Atletico Madrid had previously been linked with the winger, but Trivela reports they have not made contact with his camp.

Antony remains under contract with Manchester United until 2027, but all signs point to a departure this summer.
